Liverpool Football Shirt

Retro Candy, Carlsberg and Crown Paints shirts!

There have been some seriously classic Liverpool shirts over the years. The current one on the right is nice in my opinion, and I especially like the Grey Away version. However, to my mind they don’t compare to the old school Liverpool Football Shirts of old. How can you compare with Ian Rush in the ‘Crown Paints’ shirts, or John Barnes in the ‘Candy’ sponsored shirts. I can fondly remember playing for my primary school at the age of 6, and wearing the Crown Paints full strip for the first time. God, I felt like Rushy! Not sure I was ever as prolific as the great moustachio’d one though lol.

I used to religiously buy the Liverpool shirts all those years ago, but seemed to stop a couple of years back. I think the last Liverpool Football Shirt I purchased was the gold one celebrating the Champions League triumph in 2005. Ahhhh, great days.
