Chris Evans recommended the book “Flip It!” on his Radio 2 show, and interviewed the author Michael Heppell. To say it’s ground-breaking could well be the case….and at about a fiver, you can’t go wrong.

Life is on a bit of a downer, let’s face it. Recession, job losses, war….you name it, it’s affecting us all. So here’s a little something to help make it all better again. With a simple trick or two, Michael Heppell teaches you to flip the bad and make good through a new take on thinking.

You’ll learn straightforward techniques that you can use to make the bad times more bearable, the good times better than ever and everyday life just, well, less ‘everyday’.

Michael Heppell describes the book in the following video:

The following is taken from the back cover:

There’s a simple way of thinking, acting and doing that, once learned, will make sure you get the very best out of every situation. It’s called Flip it.

Flip It by Michael Heppell challenges you to get curious about how you interpret and handle every situation. It liberates you from the beliefs that have been holding you back and gives you a powerfully simple way to flip your thinking and energise your actions, so that you can get the very best from whatever life sends your way.

At home, at work, in love and in life Michael Heppell’s Flip It techniques have already helped millions of people achieve what they want when they want.

Now it’s time for you to Flip It and make your life more successful, your career more rewarding and everything else more enjoyable.

———

As they say, if life gives you lemons, then make lemonade. And that is the essence of this book. You can grab yourself a copy here from Amazon: Flip it: How to Get the Best Out of Everything
If you collect Nectar points, and are looking for car insurance, today could be the day for you to sign up to confused.com/nectar, as you will get 1000 bonus Nectar points when you sign up.

Nectar is a fantastic service whereby you can collect points at various retailers such as Confused.com, <a href=" http://www.latestnewstoday.com/latest-news/www-britishgas-co-uknectar-collect-nectar-points-with-british-gas/"title="British Gas Nectar points" >British Gas, Sainsburys, BP and Homebase. With your accumulated Nectar points, such as those you will have received from www.confused.com/nectar, you can trade them in for various electrical goods, or trips, days out and even holidays.

Collecting Nectar Points

I’ve been collecting Nectar Points for a few years now, so have managed to amass quite a stack of points. If you can handle it, building up your points without feeling tempted to redeem them is a great way to get yourself a fantastic deal when you’ve amassed thousands of Nectar Points.

So if you are looking for car insurance, and don’t mind the YMCA themed advert, then you should get yourself to www.confused.com/nectar to collect your 1000 Nectar points.

www.britishgas.co.uk/nectar | Collect Nectar Points With British Gas

Great news for British Gas customers, you can now collect Nectar points at www.britishgas.co.uk/nectar. Which means, just by being a customer of British Gas, you are collecting Nectar points, effectively without doing anything. Potentially there is 200 points up for grabs with each fuel you receive from British Gas, be it gas or electricity.

And if you use any of their homecare products, you can collect even more Nectar points. Head over to www.britishgas.co.uk/nectar or www.britishgas.co.uk/nectarlink and see what you can earn on your Nectar points.

NB Anyone struggling to reach www.scottishgas.co.uk/nectarlink, it might be worth trying www.britishgas.co.uk/nectarlink, or alternatively www.britishgas.co.uk/nectar. Some or all of these links should work.

Collecting Nectar Points

Nectar points offer a great way to pick up a deal or some goods. Much like Tesco Clubcard points, you collect Nectar points every time you make a purchase. If you save up enough points, you can trade them in for things like hotel breaks or electrical goods. I’ve personally amassed a great total of points over the years, so I’m closing in on a holiday deal as we speak!

You can collect Nectar points on purchases at Sainsburys, and also with companies like BP and Homebase. Personally I’ve taken advantage of the offer at www.confused.com/nectar, which gives you 1000 bonus Nectar Points! Pretty good deal, and will do wonders for your Nectar Points balance if you combine it with the likes of britishgas.co.uk/nectar, and www.sainsburys.co.uk/nectar.

Given the associated costs of fuel, collecting Nectar points via www.britishgas.co.uk/nectarlink could be a great way to build up your Nectar points and grab yourself a deal!

The Importance of Being Whatever

Oasis and Wembley. Like two peas in a pod. Actually, make that 3 peas in a pod, because Kasabian are the most pea like of them all. If ever there was a candidate for upstaging the main event, this was it.

The Gallagher brothers were surely taking a chance enlisting the young indie upstarts to precede them for their London shows. To say the crowd had been whipped up into a frenzy is an understatement. Highlight of the evening goes to “Fire”, for lifting the non-existent roof off of Wembley, in a reaction that far surpassed that of Glastonbury this year.

But what of Oasis? The high energy performance of Liam tempered by the softer, but equally encapsulating presence of Noel. Absolutely sumptious. Songs like Rock n Roll Star sound as fresh as they did back in 1994, the heart-breaking Slide Away and Noel’s Waiting for the Rapture, and surprise inclusion of Whatever (in favour of crowd favourite Importanc e of Being Idle) set the place alight. A shame that the latter had to be omitted at all.

A great beer-soaked ending to Oasis’ residency at Wembley stadium then, and almost reminiscent of the glory days of Knebworth. Be Here Now? It’s an absolute pleasure. Question is, how long will the Gallagher brothers remain together…

Then there’s finding out the prices. That is, until now.

Thankfully you can renew your tax disc online now at www.direct.gov.uk/taxdisc, so now the hassle has been taken out of it – it’s a really useful site. Click any of the links above or below for further information.

It’s well worth renewing for the full 12 months, as opposed to doing it in 6 month splits. That way you can forget about it for a whole year. And fear not, if you happen to sell your car, you can always claim back any leftover tax that you have paid for. And then a lovely cheque drops through your letterbox. I’ve done this in the past through www.direct.gov.uk/taxdisc, so couldn’t believe my luck when I received a rebate on my tax disc.

You can also declare your vehicle as SORN (Statutory Off Road Notification), if your vehicle is off the road, and not being driven.

Bearing in mind prices of most things are continually rising, I would always go for the 12 month tax disk. Besides, you can claim it back if need be should you decide to sell your car.

Alternatively, get yourself an old car like a VW Beetle from the 1970′s, which due to its age doesn’t require taxation. That would save you a bit of cash but you might end up losing it again on repair bills for your old banger!

Whatever you choose to do, the most important thing is to MAKE SURE YOU ARE COVERED! You really, really don’t want to get caught out with an un-taxed vehicle. Just as you wouldn’t want to be caught out driving without car insurance or a valid MOT. Don’t leave it to chance, make sure you’re covered. Head to www.direct.gov.uk/taxdisc now to save yourself hassle later on…
